5 people are running for seats, two of which currently sit on the board.
South Brunswick, NJ - The deadline to file a petition to run for South Brunswick school board was 4 p.m. Monday. The school board election will be Nov. 8. From TAP Into, here are the names of the 5 candidates who are running:
- Azra Baig
- Harry Delgado
- Lisa Rodgers
- Laszlo Nyitrai
- Anilkumar Patel
Azra Baig and Harry Delgado are incumbents who currently sit on the board and will be running to keep their seats, reports TAP Into. In fact, if he wins, this will be Delgado's eighth three-year term on the board, where he has sat for more than two decades. Baig is seeking her second term on the school board.
Rodgers is an education activist who is running for the first time, as is Nyitrai, a police officer running for the first time. This will be Patel's third time running for a seat on the board.
