Home Health Aide Paid for Plastic Surgery with Patient's Credit Card, Prosecutor Says

The Monroe Township man, 81, called police after his bank called him to question the charges.

Monroe Township, NJ - A home health aide worker from Millstone was charged with stealing approximately $93,000 from one of her patients, and used the money in part to pay for her plastic surgery, Monroe Township Police Chief Michael E. Lloyd said.

Debra Allen, 54, of Millstone, was a home health aid to an 81-year-old man in Monroe Township.

While watching him, she stole his checkbook to write checks to herself, Middlesex County prosecutors said. She also stole his credit card, and used it to purchase clothing and pay for cosmetic surgery for herself, police said.
