IACFNJ held Spring Color and Cultural Festival in South Brunswick

IACFNJ held Spring Color and Cultural Festival in South Brunswick on Sunday, April 29, 2018:

Indo-American Cultural Foundation of Central Jersey - IACFNJ held their second annual Spring Color and Cultural Festival on Sunday, April 29, 2018, at Reichler Park in South Brunswick, NJ. IACFNJ celebrated Spring Color and Cultural Festival to bring the community together to welcome spring after long winter months and also to mark Indian color festival of Holi. Approximately 175 people attended this event despite cooler temperature.

Middlesex County Freeholder Shanti Narra attended the event and congratulated IACFNJ team and all participants for their involvement in community and wished everyone Happy Holi. The talented kids of local dance group of Bina Master of Nrityakala Dance Academy and Meghana and Anupam Goradia’s Sangeet Madhuram performed some superbly choreographed cultural dances and Bollywood dances in there colorful costumes and live singing which were the highlights of the event. There was a raffle from New York Life Insurance Company and color play during the event to celebrate spring with colorful and festive mood. The live entertainment and traditional colorful Holi songs were played by DJ Darshan and talented singers from local group Hidden Gems.

The IACFNJ dedicated and enthusiastic Executive committee, Trustees, committee members and volunteers worked hard to make this event a huge success. IACFNJ continues to organize cultural events for the central jersey communities to bring everyone together, keep India’s rich culture and heritage alive and celebrate cultural diversity and harmony in New Jersey. IACFNJ has been a leading community organization in Central Jersey and has been very popular among young generation of Indian Americans in South Brunswick and surrounding areas of highly populated South Asians in North Brunswick, Franklin Park, Princeton, Princeton Junction, Monroe, East Brunswick and East and West Windsor for their wonderfully organized Navratri celebrations. IACFNJ has been successfully organizing picnic, Independence Day celebration, Navratri Garba, holiday party and other cultural celebrations to bring the community together for almost two decades.


The upcoming events of IACFNJ will be summer picnic at Mercer County Park, West Picnic area on Sunday, July 1, 2018, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and India Independence Day celebration on Sunday, August 19, 2018, at Swaminarayan Temple, old YMCA, 329 Culver Road in Monmouth Junction, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. For further information about IACFNJ events and other activities, please visit organization website at www.IACFNJ.org or e-mail at iacfnj@yahoo.com.
