Inspiring kids to be leaders: Officer Flanders
Officer Flanders of SBPD talks to LeaderKid Academy Summer Camp attendees.

This year, As part of the Summer Leadership and Future Skills camp at Greenbrook elementary school South Brunswick, LeaderKid Academy has introduced a series of guest speakers, from community leaders, educators, influencers, to corporate executives. These leaders engage with kids attending our South Brunswick School District - SBSD Summer Camp and inspire them with their life experiences as a backdrop for conversations, life stories, fun and engaging activities, conversations, and lessons to nurture and inspire character, leadership, and future skills.
One of the guest inspirer and local community leader welcomed to speak with the children was Officer Flanders from the South Brunswick Police Department.
Officer Flanders is an Alumni of Greenbrook Elementary School - SBSD and he shared his childhood story of his journey to being a responsible police officer. Officer Flanders gave some real life examples of how he acted like a leader in a lot of different situations. He helped our kids to understand that it's not always easy to do the right things but it's only when we are responsible leaders, we persevere and continue to take on challenges.
The kids had endless questions and we are thankful for Officer Flanders who very patiently answered all of them.
