Recording artist Jack Furlong, a baritone saxophonist by trade, is known as a performer, composer, arranger, woodwind doubler, and educator, diversifying his sound to achieve the proper tone color, mood, and musical message he hears and wishes to portray. Jack delights audiences with his wit and mastery at gigs as he showcases his cool phrasing and simple, melodic approach to jazz. Citing his influence from jazz greats such as Gerry Mulligan, Count Basie, Miles Davis, and John Coltrane, Furlong has shared the stage with modern legends such as Phil Woods, Peter Nero, Jim McNeely, and Mulgrew Miller. Holding a B.A. in Music from Lafayette College and an M.M. in Jazz Composing and Arranging from William Paterson University, Furlong has released five albums: Bunnies In Limbo (2006), A Jazzebration (2008), And That Happened (2011), Charity (2013), and Opportunity (2018).
