Jamesburg Councilman Found With Cocaine, Police Say

Breaking: Cocaine was found on the councilman after he crashed his pick-up truck Friday afternoon, police said.

JAMESBURG, NJ — A councilman from the tiny, rural community of Jamesburg was allegedly found with cocaine in his possession Friday afternoon, according to a report on NJ.com.

Councilman Thomas Busco Jr., 49, was found to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs after he crashed his pick-up truck at 5:43 p.m. Friday afternoon, Jamesburg police said. He was charged with reckless and careless driving and operating under the influence of liquor or drugs. He was also charged with drug possession after a search revealed the cocaine, police said.

The accident happened on Buckelew Avenue in Jamesburg.

Busco has been a Councilman since 2009.
