South Brunswick Police Say Traffic Delays Expected Friday Because of Parade For Jax

Jax has made it to the American Idol Top 4, and her hometown of East Brunswick is getting ready for her parade and concert on Friday.
“I’ve always watched the idol homecomings growing up and now I’m actually going home..... Is this even real?” Jax tweeted Thursday.
South Brunswick police are warning drivers that the parade is expected to cause delays on Route 535 in that township.

Jackie Cole “Jax” Miskanic sang Alicia Key’s hit, “Empire State of Mind,” along with Christina Perri’s “Human” on Wednesday’s show.
According to the East Brunswick Recreation Department, the parade will begin at 4:30 p.m. at Heavenly Farms Park. After the parade, Jax will perform at the Community Arts Center.

According to MyCentralJersey.com, Jax is returning to East Brunswick this week to film a segment for the show.
Here is the schedule of Friday’s road and park closures:
- 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.: Heavenly Farms, the dog park, and Dideriksen Park
- 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Dunhams Corner Road, between Cranbury Road and Church Lane
Access to the arts center will only be available from Cranbury Road.
