Large Fire Breaks Out At Mulch Suppliers In South Brunswick Sunday

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — A fire broke out Sunday afternoon on a large mulch and raw material supplier in South Brunswick, that lasted for hours and destroyed much of the raw material.

On Sunday, around 12:32 p.m., police and fire units responded to

Reliable Wood Products, at 234 Broadway Road, for a report for a large mulch fire.

The fire later spread to the extended wooded piles as well, authorities said.

The Monmouth Junction Fire Department along with 11 other fire departments responded and battled the blaze for hours. The fire was contained after an extended operation and employees of Reliable Wood Product remained on site monitoring the grounds for Sunday evening, authorities said.

An investigation by the Fire Marshall determined there was nothing suspicious at this time, according to authorities.
