Lawnmower Fire Damages South Brunswick Home
The incident occurred at 2 p.m. on Friday. No injuries were reported.
SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ – A home in Richford Road, South Brunswick was damaged, after a lawnmower outside caught fire on Friday.
No injuries were reported, and police said the family had already evacuated the house when they arrived.
The incident occurred at 2 p.m. on Friday. South Brunswick Officer Greg Boldizar and Sergeant Anthony Pisano spotted smoke coming from the home, and immediately notified dispatch, said police.

Kendall Park, Kingston, and Monmouth Junction fire departments responded and on arrival, found heavy fire on one side of the house, which spread along the wall into the attic and roof.
“We used a transitional attack moving from the exterior to the interior to push back the flames. It was a total team effort to bring the fire under control in 15 minutes,” said Kendall Park Fire Chief, Chris Perez.

Two nearby homes were evacuated while firefighters battled the blaze.
The Franklin and North Brunswick fire companies were on the scene, as well as South Brunswick EMS and North Brunswick First Aid Squad.
The South Brunswick Fire Marshal is conducting an investigation into the incident.
