Free program designed to help people with digital literacy and career search services.
It seems everything today is done on the computer, tablet or cell phone. Driving, use Google maps. Register for an event, do it online. Need to find a book – look it up on the computer. Nearly everything is digital and you need to be digitally literate to thrive in today’s world both at home and in your career.
What is digital literacy and why it is important? Digital literacy means being able to understand and use technology. Having an understanding about digital literacy means you're able to use technology safely and avoid its dangers
So what can you do if you or someone you know lacks the digital literacy skills to survive in today’s world? Visit the library, we can help!

The South Brunswick Public library has been awarded a “Spoke Grant” from the New Jersey State Library. This grant has funded a free program designed to help people with digital literacy and career search services. It will help people to learn some of the skills needed to be successful in this digital world.
You will receive one-on-one training from one of our two trained teachers, Kanak Borad and Aastha Vasavada. Appointments are available Monday through Thursday evenings and on Saturdays. Registration is recommended but walk-ins will be taken if space is available.

Your training will include using a computer or mobile device to do things such as filling out a form, doing video conferences (like Zoom), applying for a job, getting your GED, applying for assistance or registering for programs to name a few things.
Don’t be left behind, don’t be frustrated, and don’t miss out on an event or employment opportunity because you don’t know how to use technology.
