Man Charged With Vehicular Homicide In North Brunswick Crash
Levelt Alexis of Linden died in the crash that took place Tuesday night, authorities said.
SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — A Hightstown man was charged with vehicular homicide and other offenses following a Tuesday night crash on Route 130 in North Brunswick, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Chief Joseph Battaglia of the North Brunswick Police Department said Thursday.
Egrevel Vasquez-Garcia, 27, was charged with aggravated manslaughter, vehicular homicide, and assault by auto, Ciccone said.
On Tuesday, at 11:50 p.m. authorities responded to the southbound lane of Route 130 near Farrington Inn following the report of a crash. The Prosecutor's office said that a vehicle driven by Vasquez-Garcia struck a vehicle driven by Levelt Alexis, 34, of Linden.

Alexis was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The investigation was conducted by Det. Jason Vallese of the North Brunswick Police Department, Det. Jonathan Berman and Det. James Alleva of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office.

Vasquez Garcia is currently being held at the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Center pending a detention hearing.
