Man OD's On Heroin While Driving In South Brunswick
He and a friend were on Rt. 130 at Melrich Road when he suddenly passed out. The friend grabbed the steering wheel and managed to pull over.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — South Brunswick police officers Christopher Magee-Vanderveen and Dan Rodriguez revived a 50-year-old Kentucky man who had become unconscious after using heroin while driving on Rt. 130 Friday.
Police received a 911 call at 2:10 p.m. of a man passed out in his car on Rt. 130 near Melrich Road. Officers found the man slumped over in his white pick-up truck. A passenger in the vehicle said the man had been driving when he suddenly became unresponsive. The passenger jumped over the man and managed to steer the vehicle to the shoulder of the road and call 911. Officers learned the man had been using heroin and could not detect any breathing.
They immediately administered Narcan and provided CPR. After several minutes the man regained a pulse and stated breathing again. The man awoke and EMS evaluated him. He declined medical treatment.

The man, Raymond Tucker of Lexington, Kentucky was charged with driving under the influence. He was processed and released to a friend.
