Man Stole iPads from South Brunswick High, Police Say
He worked for All Risk Incorporated, hired to do work at South Brunswick High School this past fall.

South Brunswick, NJ - South Brunswick Police have charged a Union City man in connection with the theft of 5 iPads from South Brunswick High School over the past two months, Township police announced in a Nixle alert.
Officials at the high school notified police after a teacher realized one iPad was missing from her classroom. School officials conducted an inventory and then discovered an additional four iPads were missing. South Brunswick detectives used tracking software the school district had placed on the devices to identify where the iPads were being used. The tracking led to locations in Jersey City and Union City. Detectives recovered one iPad and later identified Omar Chicas, 30, of Union City, as the man selling the computers, police said.
What's Chicas' connection to South Brunswick High? He worked as an employee for All Risk Incorporated, an outside company that was contracted to do work at South Brunswick High School this past fall. The company's website says they do environmental remediation and property restoration, among other work. Detectives arrested Chicas at his Union City home Thursday morning. He was charged with theft and lodged in the Middlesex County Adult Correction Center in lieu of $15,000 bail.
