Man Targeted Young Girls To Get Nudes In North Brunswick: Feds
Sunil Vaid used multiple fake online personas to solicit nude photos and videos from girls under the age of 18, authorities said.
SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — A man from North Brunswick has been charged in connection with the production of child pornography, U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger said Thursday.
Sunil Vaid, 50, was charged with one count of production of child porn. He appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge André M. Espinosa on Tuesday and was detained.
Vaid used multiple fake online personas on a social media platform and several email accounts to target girls under the age of 18 and solicited nude photos and videos, according to court statements and documents.

Vaid interacted with the girls on the social media platform, then used an email account to communicate with the victims, Sellinger said.
At different times, he posed as a man interested in a romantic relationship who could help the girls start their modeling careers, a female who could help their careers, and a personal trainer, according to court documents.

The production of child pornography charge carries a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years and a maximum of 30 years in prison and a maximum fine of $250,000.
The Newark Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force, under the direction of Special Agent in Charge James E. Dennehy, led to the charges and arrest, Sellinger said.
