Maryland Man Faces Drug Possession Charges: South Brunswick PD
Bryan Coulbourn from Maryland, was charged after a joint investigation by the South Brunswick police and the US Postal Inspection Service.
SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ – A man from Bowie, Maryland with charged with drug possession, the South Brunswick Police Department said on Thursday.
Bryan Coulbourn, 25, was charged with possession of psilocybin and possession of LSD, after a joint investigation conducted by the South Brunswick Police and the United States Postal Inspection Service.
On Dec.1, Detective Timothy Hoover was contacted by Inspector Rob Waltz of US Postal Inspection Service informing him that a package at the Monmouth Junction Post Office contained “Magic Mushrooms”. Police said the package was addressed to a man named “Artist Grand” and was bound to the Extended Stay America, located at 4230 Route 1.

Police said the package contained approximately .5 oz of suspected Psilocybin (Magic Mushrooms) and three suspected LSD tabs. Upon investigating, Detective Hoover said he found an occupant named “Artis Grandison” residing at Extended Stay America.
On Dec. 2, at 11:30 a.m., Detectives from the South Brunswick Police Department and Inspector Waltz conducted surveillance from the hotel lobby. Hotel management contacted the room where “Artis Grandison” was residing, telling him a package for him was at the front desk, said police.

According to the police, two hours later, a man approached the hotel lobby desk, identified himself as “Artis Grandison”, and tried picking up the package. Detective Hoover and Inspector Waltz then took him in custody, said police.
Coulbourn was released pending his first court appearance.
Chief Raymond Hayducka praised the detectives for their work. “Detective Timothy Hoover and Inspector Rob Waltz of United States Postal Inspection Service used great teamwork to put this case together and stop the distribution of illegal drugs,” he said.
