Member Of VonThun Farm Family Killed In Hit-And-Run: Prosecutor
Police are searching for the hit-and-run vehicle after a member of the family that owns the popular farm was killed, police said.
SOUTH BRUNSWICK – A member of the family that owns the popular VonThun Farms was killed in a hit-and-run this weekend, police said.
Ronald VonThun, 49, was killed by a vehicle while riding his bicycle on Route 522 at 10:06 p.m. on Friday, police said
VonThun is a member of the family that owns VonThun Farms in South Brunswick. The farm is known for its popular corn maze, and it's a favorite spot for many who go pumpkin-picking in the fall.

The vehicle that struck VonThun fled the scene and police are asking for the public’s help, police said. The vehicle fled westbound toward Kingston Lane.
South Brunswick Police, Monmouth Junction First Aid Squad and paramedics tended to the man and rushed him to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, police said.

He succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
Police are seeking witnesses to the crash. In addition, police are seeking any residences or businesses that have a video that captures Route 522 between Georges Road and New Road.
