Men Caught in Act of Robbing Rt. 130 Gas Station, Police Say

The Gulf Gas Station at 2043 Rt. 130 (near Crossroads Nursery) was robbed just after midnight Thursday.

South Brunswick, NJ - South Brunswick police caught two men in the act of breaking into a Rt. 130 gas station early Thursday morning, police announced.

The owner of the Gulf Gas Station at 2043 Rt. 130 (near Crossroads Nursery) said he received a burglar alarm that his gas station was being broken into just after midnight Thursday. He could see on his phone live video of the suspects, pictured above.

He called police, and Officers Robert Rask and Jamal Benbow were nearby. They arrived within thirty seconds to see two men loading their car with cash, cigarettes, oil, and a surveillance system, all suspected to be stolen from inside the gas station.

Nicholas Ragoo, 23, and Sukhpreet Singhage, 23, both of Queens, New York were arrested and charged with burglary and theft. Police also found a small amount of marijuana on the suspects, under 50 grams, they said.

A 19-year-old woman who was with them, Preet Bajwa, 19, also of Queens, was charged with possession of marijuana and was released on a summons.
