Middlesex County Kids Win Soap Box Derby Trophies

The 15th Annual New Jersey Soap Box Derby and Classic Car Show was held Sunday in New Brunswick.

Three children will be heading to Ohio this summer to compete in the International Soap Box Derby after taking first-prize in their respective racing categories.

Champ: Louis Bizzoco of Hillsborough

Runner-up: Aiden Smith of Skillman

Third-place: Alexander Gutierrez of Hamilton

Super stock

Champ: Jesse Gutierrez of Hamilton

Runner-up: Adriana Reyes of New Brunswick

Third-place: George Amadeo of the Belford section of Middletown

Masters

Champ: Hal Conte of Morrisville, Pennsylvania. (Conte had permission to race in New Jersey because his derby in Pennsylvania did not have enough racers in the Masters cars category to be considered official.)

Runner-up: Emma Perone of Milltown

Third-place: Ryan Pierson of East Brunswick
