Karecki was one of three people who was charged with robbing a Lacey man at a Toms River motel in July, according to APP.com. He was recently released from the Ocean County jail, that report said.

His father, Ed Karecki told APP.com that his son left the family’s home after getting a phone call Sunday night.

He said his son, one of six children, enjoyed fishing and fixing cars, NJ.com reported.

“We’re just destroyed,” Ed Karecki told NJ.com. “We don’t have problems like this.”
