Middlesex Man Charged With Attempted Murder Of Family Member: Police
The family member, a woman, suffered serious injuries and is in critical condition, County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone said.
SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — A 44-year-old Plainsboro man was charged with attempted murder after he assaulted a family member, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Chief Eamon Blanchard of the Plainsboro Police Department said.
On Aug. 18, around 4:14 p.m., authorities received a 911 call reporting a break-in and that someone was severely injured.
On arrival, Plainsboro Police found a man who was unharmed, and a woman covered in blood, with severe injuries to her head and eyes. She was flown to the hospital for treatment and is in critical condition, Ciccone said.

Initial investigation revealed that there was no break-in and the 44-year-old man, who is a family member of the woman, was the perpetrator, Ciccone said.
The man was arrested at the scene and charged with first-degree attempted murder.
