Monmouth Junction Woman Killed in Crash, Family of 5 Injured
The family was headed to Toronto when they were struck by a man who went through a red light, police in upstate New York said.

South Brunswick, NJ - A Monmouth Junction woman was killed and five of her family members injured in a car crash Friday night near Buffalo, New York.
The family was all in one car, headed to Toronto, when they were struck by a man who went through a red light in Wyoming County, New York, reports BuffaloNews.com.
Veena Jethva, 73, of Monmouth Junction, was pronounced dead at the scene. Nayankuma Jethva, 46, also of Monmouth Junction, was the driver and he was treated for a fractured ankle. Haridas Jethva, 74, suffered minor injuries. Purvi Jethva, 42, was airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester where she was treated for a possible broken back. A 10-year-old child was treated for a possible fractured jaw and facial injuries. His 8-year-old brother also suffered facial injuries, reports BuffaloNews.com.

The driver who ran through the red light was identified as Daniel Robb, 54, of the Town of Perry in upstate New York. According to the sheriff’s office, Robb had failed to stop at a red light.
He was treated for minor facial injuries. He was charged with failing to stop at a red light and Nayankuma Jethva was issued a ticket for driving with an expired license.
