Moon Landing Party July 20 At South Brunswick Library

2-4 p.m. Saturday at the South Brunswick Library; all ages. A NASA Endeavor Fellow will be there to discuss the latest in space exploration.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — Celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing at a party this Saturday, July 20 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the South Brunswick Public Library, 110 Kingston Lane in Monmouth Junction.

On July 20, 1969 Apollo 11 was the first space mission that landed man on the moon. American astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin made history by taking those first steps on the lunar surface.

Mike Buttitta, NASA/JPL Solar System Ambassador & Endeavor Fellow, New Jersey - NJTEEA/ITEEA State Affiliate Rep., will be on hand at the party to discuss the latest in space exploration. There will be light refreshments, a trivia contest, and door prizes.

A showing of the 2019 movie Apollo 11 will begin at 3 p.m. The film includes never-before-seen NASA footage of the mission and the moon landing.
