More Cops At South Brunswick Schools In Coming Weeks: Police Chief
The presence of officers is part of Operation School Safety Plan to help law enforcement familiarize themselves with school layout.
SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — In wake of the school shooting in Uvalde Texas, that left 19 students and two teachers dead, the South Brunswick Police Department immediately increased its presence across all district schools.
Although it has been weeks since the deadly shooting, the police department has remained ever-vigilant. Some residents even called the police department enquiring about the presence of officers at schools.
"The increased officers are part of our Operation School Safety Plan that involves school layout familiarization. In the coming weeks, you will continue to see teams of officers conducting guided tours of different schools," Chief Raymond Hayducka said.
