SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — A naked man tried to force his way into a home on Finnegans Lane last Sunday in South Brunswick Township, police announced. At 6:45 a.m. Sunday, May 21 South Brunswick police responded to a motor vehicle crash on Finnegans Lane near Avenue F.
As officers arrived at the crash scene they observed "a naked male attempting to force his way into a residence on Finnegans Lane," South Brunswick police said. Officer Kevin O’Neil and Officer Ray McCarthy immediately instructed the man to get away from the door and lie on the ground. The nudist followed commands and laid on the ground. The officers cuffed him and placed him in a patrol car.
Officers learned that moments earlier the man, Joseph Slovinsky, 50, of North Brunswick, had been driving a vehicle and crashed into two cars on Finnegans Lane. Slovinsky was driving 1999 Honda Accord eastbound on Finnegans Lane when he rear-ended a 2011 Volkswagen also headed eastbound. He pushed the Volkswagen approximately 100 feet before going around it and striking a 2016 Toyota Camry, which was also headed eastbound. After striking the second car, Slovinsky headed eastbound in the westbound lanes, made a U turn, came back and hit the Camry a second time, police said. Slovinsky’s vehicle then became disabled; he exited his car and stripped his clothes off.
