National Leadership Conference
Atlanta, July 3, 2016. From June 29 to July 2, nine SBHS students went to Atlanta, Georgia for FBLA’s National Leadership Conference.

The students who went to Nationals had to place in their respective competitive event in States in order to advance. Some also had to place in Regionals or give a presentation in front of FBLA advisors. FBLA members who went were Ritik Amin, Ankur Jain, Anirudh Menon, Amy Bangad, Leslie Rajendran, Amolika Srivastava, Alice Zheng, Soham Bhattacharya, and Krishan Shah. In addition to competing, the students also had time to sightsee, learn more about business, and interact with people from all over the country and the world.
Amy, who took 3rd place in Accounting I, said “I went to a networking workshop that I found to be very helpful. I also liked how there were a lot of different open events to compete in.” She also described the experience as fun and well organized.

Another student who went, Alice mentioned that it was very hot but the great food made up for it.
