New Principal Appointed At South Brunswick’s Monmouth Junction Elementary School

The Board of Education approved the appointment of Michael Scheese during Thursday's meeting.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — Assistant Principal of South Brunswick High School, Michael Scheese, will serve as Principal of Monmouth Junction Elementary School.

The Board of Education approved Scheese’s appointment during Thursday’s meeting.

“I'm very excited about this next step in my career, and I look forward to getting to know and work with the amazing staff and students of the school at Monmouth Junction, as well as getting to meet the families of the school community,” Scheese said during the meeting.

“As I begin my time as principal there, I hope to be a constant presence for many years to come for the students, staff and the families of Monmouth Junction.”

Scheese has been with the school district since 2004 and has served as teacher, dean, assistant principal in the elementary schools and at the high school.

He has also served as the high school’s Advanced Placement Coordinator.

“Monmouth Junction is one of the highest ranked schools in the state of New Jersey for elementary schools. Michael is coming into a very good situation with extraordinary staff and community,” Superintendent Scott Feder said.

“We are just really excited that Mike threw his hat into the ring – he had not done that before.”

Feder said Scheese proved to be the best candidate to have applied for the job.

Scheese has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Education from Bloomburg University and a Master’s of Science degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from the University of Scranton.
