North Brunswick Man Charged With Fatal Hit And Run

NORTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — A North Brunswick man has been sentenced to eight years in prison in the death of a 22-year-old pedestrian, who police say he and killed during the early morning hours of April 20, 2019.
The fatal hit and run happened in New Brunswick and it killed Anthony Cruz-Medina, 22, who lives in the city.
Daquan White, 27, of North Brunswick, was sentenced Thursday. White pleaded guilty to knowingly leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash resulting in death and hindering his own apprehension.

Police say that at approximately 12:40 a.m. April 20, White was driving a 2001 Acura Cl Coupe when he struck and killed Cruz-Medina on Livingston Avenue near Baldwin Street. He then fled the scene.
