Open House: Come Tour South Brunswick Fire Houses This Weekend

If you or your kids are curious how local volunteer fire depts. work, Monmouth Junction and Kingston will have open houses Oct. 6 and 7.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — If you'd like to learn more about how your local volunteer fire departments work — or just give kids a fun tour of a fire house — both the Monmouth Junction and Kingston fire companies will be having open houses this weekend.

The Monmouth Junction Volunteer Fire Department will be having an open house in celebration of Fire Prevention Week this Saturday, Oct. 6 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at their fire station at 573 Ridge Road in Monmouth Junction. There will be fire safety displays, fire trucks to explore, demonstrations by firefighters, refreshments and prizes for those that complete the scavenger hunt!

Then on Sunday, Oct. 7 the Kingston Volunteer Fire Company will be having an open house from 12 noon to 3 p.m. at their fire station at 8 Heathcote Brook Road in Kingston. There will be fire equipment demonstrations, a Fire Safety House, bounce house, door prizes, refreshments and more. Please come!
