Over 700 Take South Brunswick Police Exam
720 people took the entrance exam Monday night to become a South Brunswick police officer; they will know results in a month.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — 720 people took the entrance exam Monday night to become a South Brunswick police officer, said department spokesman Jim Ryan, who provided Patch with these photos. The exam was held at South Brunswick High School.
Those who took the exam will find out their results in a month. The South Brunswick Township Council approved a budget on Tuesday night to hire two new police officers, but more could possibly be hired if there are retirements.
"In this day and age when many question going into law enforcement, it was great to see more than 700 people apply to be part of the South Brunswick police family," said Chief Raymond Hayducka. "The applicants came from five different states and I think that speaks volumes about our community and department."
