2 Missing Children Investigated By South Brunswick Police
The children were reported missing Tuesday evening from an apartment complex, police said. They were found safe after an extensive search.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — A large police presence was seen at the Royal Oaks Apartment Complex in South Brunswick on Tuesday evening after authorities received a report of two missing children.
The 5-year-olds were reported missing by their families at 6:50 p.m. The parents told police that the children were playing in front of their homes and were last seen at around 6:30 p.m.
A dozen police officers immediately began searching the area and knocking on doors, authorities said.

The Millstone Valley Fire Department came to the scene with their drones to help in the search.
As police continued to search, an adult brought the two children to police and firefighters at 7:50 p.m. No other information is available at the moment.

The Millstone Valley Fire Department, Monmouth Junction Fire Department, Monmouth Junction First Aid Squad, Middlesex County Prosecutors Office, and Middlesex County Office of Emergency Management provided assistance in the search.
Investigation into the incident is ongoing, authorities said.
