Police Search For 22-Year-Old Woman Missing From South Brunswick

Veronica McLean lived in a group home but had signed herself out in July, police said. She was reported missing by a friend in October.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ – The South Brunswick Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating a missing 22-year-old woman.

Veronica McLean, 22, was reported missing by a friend in late October. The friend told police they had not heard from McLean in some time and Officers determined that McLean had been living in a group home in South Brunswick on Broadway Road.

Friends told police they are concerned for McLean’s mental well-being and lack of contact with any family or friends in months, authorities said.

When officers went to the Community Options group home, they found that McLean had signed herself out in July 2022, police said.

State authorities told South Brunswick police that McLean had given up all assistance from the State back in July.

Detectives also learned that she may have been in the Hancock Street area of Brooklyn, New York shortly after leaving the group home, police said.

South Brunswick Police has been working with the State and federal law enforcement agencies on leads in the case. They continue to follow leads mainly in the Brooklyn, New York area.

McLean is 5’04” tall and weighs 130 lbs.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts or who may have had contact with her in the past three months is asked to call South Brunswick Police Detective Bureau at (732) 329-4648.
