Poll Results: When Should Schools Open?

At Patch, we recently asked you to tell us when you thought schools should open.

Because Labor Day was a bit late this year, some schools, including Woodbridge, East Brunswick, Hazlet, New Brunswick, and South Brunswick, opted to open before the holiday.

But others, including Holmdel, Middletown, Manalapan-Englishtown Regional, Colts Neck, Marlboro, Matawan-Aberdeen, and Freehold Regional High School, waited until after Labor Day to open.

So we asked: When Labor Day falls late in September, should schools open before or after the holiday?
