Rabid Skunk Found In South Brunswick

The skunk was found on Langley Road in Kendall Park Saturday. Its carcass was sent to the state lab for rabies testing.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — A skunk was found Saturday, Oct. 14 in Kendall Park and on Tuesday, state health officials confirmed the skunk tested positive for rabies.

The skunk was found on Langley Road in Kendall Park Saturday. Its carcass was sent to the state lab and on Tuesday, October 17, the South Brunswick Health Department was notified by the New Jersey State Health Department that it had rabies.

Residents should report wild animals showing signs of unusual behavior to the police department. Immediately report any bite from wildlife as well from domestic pets to the South Brunswick Health Department 732-329-4000 ext. 7237 or Animal Control at 732-329-4000, Extension 7265 during business hours.
