Road Closures, Traffic Enforcement: This Week In South Brunswick

The department will be conducting traffic enforcement through May 6 and some road closures are expected. See where:

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — To ensure safety on the road, the South Brunswick Police Department has been conducting traffic enforcement across the township.

Here's what to expect this week:

  • West Side: Finnegan’s Lane- cops will be on the lookout for drivers speeding
  • East Side: Route 32/Route 535 - police will be on the watch for drivers making improper turns

New Road Paving Project

New Road will be closed to through traffic for paving on Monday and Tuesday, between Route 522 and Ridge Road, from 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Monday will be from Ridge Road to Hillside Avenue, Tuesday from Hillside Avenue to the Freedom Trail.

Local residents will have access and need to follow the posted detour and the direction of traffic controllers.

Milling and paving will be held on Route 522 from Route 130 to Summerfield Boulevard. Paving is expected to begin on Monday, with lane striping on Thursday. Work is scheduled to take place from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
