Road Improvements Set For Route 522 In South Brunswick: See Details

While road work takes place, drivers may experience temporary lane shifts, traffic pattern adjustments and delays, officials said.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — Upcoming roadway improvements are planned to take place along Route 522, South Brunswick Township said.

Roadway milling and resurfacing activity is anticipated between Georges Road and Kingston Lane beginning on or about June 1 and continuing through June 23, weather and equipment availability permitting.

Work is expected to take place Monday through Friday between
approximately 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

The current anticipated work schedule includes:

  • Milling: June 1 – June 12
  • Paving: June 15 – June 22
  • Striping: June 23

Mayor Charles Carley said keeping residents informed about projects affecting daily travel remains a priority for the township.

“Road improvements help maintain safe and reliable travel throughout our community, and we want residents to have information in advance so they can better plan their day,” Carley said.

“We appreciate everyone’s patience during construction activities and understand that temporary inconveniences help support long-term improvements for those who travel through South Brunswick.”

South Brunswick Township will continue sharing project updates as they become available.

Residents are encouraged to allow extra travel time and use caution when driving through active work zones.

Construction scheduling and work operations are subject to change based on field conditions and project needs, officials said.
