Road Work Resumes On 6 South Brunswick Streets. What Drivers Need to Know

Crews are back on Welcome Farms Road, Norton Road and four other roads for Phase III of the township's Fresh Impressions improvement project

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — Construction has resumed on multiple roadways as part of Phase III of the Fresh Impressions Road Improvements project, township officials announced Monday.

Work is underway on Welcome Farms Road, Norton Road, Walden Pond Way, First Avenue, Ellis Court and Donner Court.

Crews began topsoil restoration March 27, including touch-ups in previously disturbed lawn areas. As of Monday, workers started replacing manhole covers in preparation for upcoming milling and paving operations.

Construction runs Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Roads may be closed to through traffic during working hours, though local traffic and emergency vehicles will retain access. Motorists should use caution in work zones and follow posted signage and directions from traffic control personnel.

"The Fresh Impressions Program continues to be a critical investment in our community's infrastructure," Deputy Mayor Ken Bierman said. "These improvements not only enhance the condition of our roadways but also help ensure safer and more reliable travel for our residents."

The project's final phase will include milling and paving operations. Residents will receive a separate notice with scheduling details before that work begins.
