Family Of 3 Attacked By 9 Teens At Six Flags: Police
The attack occurred after one of the family members spoke up when the group of teens cut in line and used foul language.

GURNEE, IL – Nine teens are accused of ganging up on a family of three after the bigger group cut in line at a ride at Six Flags Great America and started using foul language, the Lake County News-Sun reports. All three members of the family – a 51-year-old man, 50-year-old woman and a 12-year-old boy – were taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries that are not considered life-threatening after being attacked by the group for. Prior to the attack, one of the victim's spoke up about the group's rude behavior.
One of the offenders attacked the boy, and his father came to his aid, according to the Lake County News-Sun. The father was knocked to the ground and was punched and kicked by the teens before his wife came to help him. She was also then attacked.

Authorities apprehended the nine suspects at the amusement park. Gregory Battle, 18, of Waukegan, has been charged with aggravated battery causing great bodily harm, aggravated battery in a public place and mob action, according to the newspaper. The rest of the teens, who are all juveniles between the ages of 15 and 17, have been named in juvenile petitions for mob action charges.
Battle is being held on a $20,000 bond, and the juveniles were taken to Depke Juvenile Complex Cente rin Vernon Hills.
