
The South Brunswick High School baseball team headed into the spring with high hopes of winning a conference and state championship.
If Monday's season opener was any indication, this could be a magical season for the Vikings. SBHS came out with a dominating 11-0 win over East Brunswick behind senior Sean Keenan.
The Marist-bound star recorded the shutout for the Vikings, going five innings, allowing two hits with one walk and five strikeouts. Keenan helped himself at the plate by crushing a home run in the second inning, finishing with three RBIs.

Rutgers commit T.J. Perkowski helped set the table for SBHS, recording two hits, two walks, two stolen bases and three runs scored. Ken Drost (two hits), Dylan Olsson (two RBIs), and Nick Veglia (two RBIs) were among other players helping power the Vikings to victory.
