SBHS Girls LAX Opens Season in Style

Lady Vikings crush Monroe 12-4.

The South Brunswick High School girls lacrosse team began their quest for a fifth consecutive Greater Middlesex Conference (GMC) championship in dominating fashion.

SBHS downed Monroe by a score of 12-4 on Tuesday in the season opener. Leading the way for the Vikings was senior All American Elle Hvozdovic, who scored six goals in the win. Hvozdovic is looking in which she scored 105 points (60 goals and 45 assists).

Her sister, Caroline Hvozdovic was also a key contributor, adding two goals and one assist. Marissa Cavett (three goals) and Kelly Ciabattone (one goal) also found the back of the net in the victory.

Setting up their teammates for goals were Alex Datri, Eileen Rolwood and Emily Ryan, who each notched one assist.

Courtney Eisma picked up the win in goal for the Vikings.

The girls will be back in action on Thursday against North Brunswick.
