Celebrate like it's 1968! On Sunday, April 29 the South Brunswick Public Library will mark its 50th anniversary with a flagpole dedication followed by festivities at 110 Kingston Lane, Monmouth Jct., beginning at 2 p.m.
A newly installed flagpole on the front lawn will be dedicated in the name of South Brunswick's longest-serving mayor Frank Gambatese, who passed away last year. Other acknowledgements are planned, along with presentations by the South Brunswick High School Concert Choir, Honor Guard, and local dignitaries including Assemblyman Roy Freiman.
After the ceremony, the public is invited indoors for complimentary cupcakes and a children's party. View birthday wishes from some of the world's most famous authors and see Library archives displayed on panels throughout the building. All are welcome.
