Skillbuilders Workshop Series begins April 19
Solutions for when life throws you a curve

When life throws you a curve, such as a divorce or death, there is Skillbuilders. Learn the practical skills now needed in your new life. Free. Classes will be offered on Thursdays from 1:30 to 3 p.m. for nine weeks at the South Brunswick Public Library, 110 Kington Lane in Monmouth Jct.
Attend all or one or a few as you need. The introduction class Adjusting to change and dealing with grief is on Thursday, April 19 from 1:30 to 3 p.m.
It will include a description of the series and an overview of what skills will be taught. Although the series is focused on those who are starting life over as a single person, the workshops are open to all.

Kathleen Ostertag, Licensed Professional Counselor, MA, LPC, NBCC, owner of Aging with Dignity and Choice, LLC in East Brunswick, will speak at the first meeting.
This nine-week series of classes will be focused on widows, widowers, the newly divorced, and anyone who has suffered a life-altering loss. The series will offer basic life skills that are often shared in a partnership.

Participants will come away from each class with practical information on topics such as basic car care, financial literacy, cooking and shopping for one, estate planning, basic home maintenance, and other similar topics. Light refreshments will be offered.
The series is being offered in partnership with the Library and other agencies, including local experts on the featured topics. Participants do not have to attend the entire series; you may attend one or all of the classes depending on your interest.
