SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — A Somerville rapper known as Skinnyfromthe9, pictured above, who is already facing a kidnapping charge has now also been charged with trying to set a home on fire in South Brunswick.
The alleged attempted arson happened in September 2014, police say. Police say Skinnyfromthe9, whose birth name is David Villegas, and five other men allegedly drove to a parking lot near the South Brunswick home — armed with bats, knives and flare guns — and fired the flare guns at the home, "causing it to ignite the house on fire," according to court documents obtained by MyCentralJersey.
The MyCentralJersey report did not give a street where the home is located.
