South Brunswick Boys' and Girls' Soccer Teams Pick Up Wins on the Pitch
Each team went 2-1 this week.

The South Brunswick High School boys' soccer team is now 5-2-1 for the season following a loss to East Brunswick on Saturday. Earlier this week, the Bears picked up two victories.

East Brunswick 2, South Brunswick 1: The Bears broke a 1-1 halftime tie in the second half to remain unbeaten. Joey Gudzak and Adam Rosa scored for East Brunswick. Jorge De la bandera scored South Brunswick's goal.
East Brunswick keeper Dennis Kotenko made six saves. South Brunswick (5-2-1) goalie Erich Kaiser stopped 12 shots in the loss.
South Brunswick 4, Piscataway 0: Patrick Grudnick led the way with a pair of goals. Joe Mastro and Miles Anglin each added a goal. Chris Bobev, Jorge De la bandera and Kyle DeGroff each assisted on goals. Erich Kaiser and Arvind Swaminathan split time in goal, making a total of three saves.
South Brunswick 4, Edison 2: Harrison Kudwitt led the way with a pair of goals and an assist, as South Brunswick scored three second half goals to erase a 2-1 halftime deficit. Jorge De la bandera and Patrick Grudnick each posted a goal. Nasser Aamer and Paul Grudnick each added an assist. Erich Kaiser and Arvind Swaninathan split time in goal, making a total of seven saves.
Girls' soccer
East Brunswick 2, South Brunswick 0: The Bears improved to 7-0-1 behind goals from Ellie diLiberto and Sydney Rosa. Goalie Alex Kalafor denied six shots.
South Brunswick goalie Sidney Schneider stopped 11 shots, but South Brunswick dropped below .500 at 3-4.
South Brunswick 4, Piscataway 2: Brielle Erico paved the way to victory with two goals and Cagnie Antczak had two assists. Kelly Ciabattone and Julianna Franco each had a pair of goals. Goalie Casey Savoth made seven saves as South Brunswick scored twice in the first half and never looked back.
South Brunswick 3, North Brunswick 1: South Brunswick beat the North Brunswick goalie three times in the second half to erase a 1-0 halftime disadvantage. Brielle Erico, Julianna Franco and Miho Yamada each took part in the scoring with one goal. Erico also recorded an assist, as did Cagnie Antczak and Fran Dimitrakis.
