
Overall, the South Brunswick High School boys lacrosse team has played very well this season. As the team heads into the tournament part of the season, however, Coach Mark Ziminski knows his team needs to play better.
"We need to learn from our mistakes so we can be a complete and efficient team as we head into our postseason play," Ziminski said.
Ziminski believes South Brunswick made some "undisciplined errors" in a 9-3 loss to Montgomery on May 2.

At 9-2, South Brunswick has been pretty solid on the field most games. Prior to the loss to Montgomery, South Brunswick had won its previous three games by a combined score of 34-9.
On Apr. 20, South Brunswick defeated Old Bridge, 10-2.

Dom Violante recorded four goals and an assist. Matt Peterson (assist) and Jevon Tyree both scored two goals. Riley Kleber had a goal and two assists. Kenny Keenan had 10 saves in goal to record the win.
On Apr. 23, South Brunswick defeated Howell, 8-2.
Ryan Fraass and Violante (assist) both scored two goals. Matt Paradowski added a goal and assist. Keenan had six saves in goal.
On Apr. 26, South Brunswick defeated Edison, 16-3.
Nine different players scored for South Brunswick. Violante had five goals, Matt Goble, Kleber and Colin Quigley scored two goals each. Paradowski, Tyler Armstrong, Nick Ciabattone, Alex Lorber and Bruce Redfield added goals. Keenan had seven saves in goal.
South Brunswick will finish the regular season with a game against Hun on May 5. The Greater Middlesex Conference Tournament starts on May 7, with South Brunswick hosting JP Stevens at 2 p.m.
The GMC semifinals are set for May 10 and the finals at Old Bridge on May 12.
"The team is looking to finish the regular season with a win and have a successful post season," Ziminski said.
