The top team in the Central Jersey Group IV Tournament held service through the quarterfinal round of the playoffs.
"We won our match against a very good Marlboro team, 3-2," South Brunswick boys coach Nancy McDonald said.
South Brunswick got a bye in the first round before recording the win on May 17.

"We got solid performances by singles players Nikhil Roy and Rohan Bhatia, winning their matches in straight sets," McDonald said. "Winning the third point was the first doubles team of Alberto Tenias-Nieli and Jag Buddhavarapu."
Roy defeated Ryan Lau, 6-0, 6-2, at second singles. Bhatia defeated Alex Raman, 6-0, 6-1.

Marlboro's Julian Rozenstein defeated Dylan Karchere-Sun, 6-2, 6-1, at first singles.
Buddhavarapu and Tenias-Nieli won at first doubles, 6-4, 6-0.
Marlboro's Rishi Kapoor and Cameron Barnett defeated Dan Chapiro and Arun Chockalingham, 6-2, 1-6, 6-2, at second doubles.
South Brunswick, now 14-1, advances to play West Windsor Plainsboro North in the Central Jersey Group IV semifinals. Weather permitting, that match will be held on May 19.
"This is the first time the boys team has advanced to the semis," McDonald noted.
It appears to be a favorable match-up for South Brunswick, which has already defeated West Windsor North, 5-0, this season.
