Not every member of the South Brunswick High School boys track team scored in the 95-45 win over South Plainfield on Apr. 21. It just seemed that way.
"We had 21 different scorers," South Brunswick Coach Wilfredo Rivera noted.
Derrick Pee and Dominick Padovano both won two events. Pee won the 1600 (4:53.9) and 3200 (10:47.1). Padovano won the shot put (46' 8") and discus (152' 5").

"I'm really happy about the way the team is progressing," Rivera said. "I feel like the senior leadership of guys like Tyrin Fairman, Kotey Ashie, Matt Eder and Dominick Padovano is really helping our young guys understand the importance of hard work and commitment. They model excellent work habits and race discipline in both practice and on the track and field."
Those work habits will discipline will have to continue because the biggest meets are still to come.
"We have a tough stretch of meets coming up with a dual against St. Josephs on the road, Penn Relays at Franklin Field, and the defense of our GMC County Relay Championship," Rivera noted. "I believe our guys are excited and ready for the challenges that lie ahead."
