Residents are encouraged to complete their application as soon as possible. It's a great chance to learn how your local police force works.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — South Brunswick Police Chief Raymond Hayducka announced Thursday that applications are now being accepted for the Fall 2017 South Brunswick Citizen Police Academy.
The Academy aims to give South Brunswick residents a behind-the-scenes look at policing. A dozen officers and detectives will share their perspective and insights into the daily workings of the police department. The Academy will start on September 12. Classes will be held every Tuesday night in the training center at police headquarters for 11 weeks from 6:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. Graduation from the Academy is set for November 28. The Academy size is limited, so residents are encouraged to complete their application as soon as possible. That's a photo of the South Brunswick Academy in past years.
“The demand for the Citizen Police Academy continues to grow every year. This is an excellent opportunity for residents to meet and interact with the men and women serving you in your community daily," said Chief Hayducka. "Many of the previous participants explained that they had no idea all that police officers needed to know to do their job."
