South Brunswick Coronavirus Death Count Now At 5

The most recent death is a 93-year-old woman who passed away from the coronavirus/COVID-19 at an area hospital.​

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — A fifth South Brunswick resident passed away due to complications from COVID-19/coronavirus, South Brunswick police announced Thursday, bringing the town's total death count to five, with 115 positive cases.

The 93-year-old woman passed away from the coronavirus at an area hospital.

Two men died Wednesday, as well: A 46-year-old man and 60-year-old man who both died at the same local hospital.

This is in addition to the South Brunswick mother and daughter who died within hours of each other Monday: The daughter, 33, died at her family's home Monday, and her mother, 70, died the next day in a hospital.   • New Jersey now has 51,027 cases and 1,700 deaths, both numbers now ranking as the second-highest in the country. There currently are 7,363 hospitalizations for coronavirus
  • 1,523 individuals are in intensive care. 1,551 individuals are on ventilators
  • Over the past 24 hours, 471 have been discharged from hospital and returned home
  • 100,478 tests performed – 44.11% positives
