Monmouth Junction Firefighters Host Fire Prevention Week Open House Oct. 4
The Oct. 4 Fire Prevention Week event also includes a scavenger hunt, safety displays and free snacks and drinks.
MONMOUTH JUNCTION, NJ — The Monmouth Junction Volunteer Fire Department will hold an open house Sunday, Oct. 4, in celebration of National Fire Prevention Week, the department said.
The event runs from 1 to 4 p.m. at the fire station at 573 Ridge Road. Residents are invited to tour the station and meet firefighters, according to the department.
The open house will include fire safety displays, equipment demonstrations, including fire extinguisher and Jaws of Life demonstrations, and inflatable games for kids, the department said. A scavenger hunt with prizes is also planned, and snacks and drinks will be free, according to the department's flyer.
