Match to be held May 19 at Cranbury CC.

According to Mark Kraft, "the South Brunswick High School boys golf team has had a great May."

When South Brunswick plays in the Greater Middlesex Conference finals on May 19, South Brunswick will be trying to make it even better.

South Brunswick earned the spot in the finals by defeating Wardlaw Prep, 169-182, on May 17.  Parth Ahuja led the way with a round of 38.

On May 9, South Brunswick defeated East Brunswick, 170-183.

"That was first time we beat East Brunswick at Tamarack since 2003," Kraft said.

South Brunswick also had wins against Piscataway (182-193 on May 10) and Sayreville (173-203 on May 11).

Even South Brunswick's one loss was impressive. The team was defeated by St. Joe's, 165-168, on May 12. As noted by Kraft, "that's the closest anyone has played them all year."

This past Monday, South Brunswick took part in the Central Jersey Group IV Tournament. Montgomery and Hopewell were the two teams to advance from this sectional.

"We had a good outing at states, being the top finishing GMC team," Kraft said.

Spencer Alexander and Parth Ahuja both had rounds of 88.
